Chicago Cares 35th Anniversary Celebration

Chicago Cares knows how to have fun while making an impact. Our upcoming 35th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, July 18, from 11 AM-2 PM at Ogden (Williams) Park, will be no exception. This event is open to the public and free of charge.

We invite all of Chicagoland to join us in celebrating 35 years of volunteer service, civic action and community-building in Chicago. The site of our Anniversary Celebration features the Ogden Park Mosaic Mural, a collaboration between Ogden Park, Green Star Movement and Chicago Cares, The Mural highlights the past, present and future of Ogden Park, and is part of Chicago Cares’ placemaking initiative that engages public art to bring people together in community.

Event Highlights:

–> Chicago Cares 35th Anniversary Celebration, with a bounce house, DJ, food trucks, the iconic Rainbow Cone and a service project

–> Ribbon-cutting for a brand-new mosaic mural in Ogden Park, designed in collaboration with Ogden Park, Green Star Movement and Chicago Cares

–> Brief Reflections from Chicago Cares CEO Rosie Drumgoole, Ogden Park Supervisor David Bailey and Professional Boxer Kenneth Sims Jr.
