Black Futures: Community Meets the Moment, panel and mixer

July 11 @ 5:00 pm
$15

This event is intended to create space for honest dialogue about the uncertainty, tension, and systemic pressures many across the Black community (LGBTQ+ and allied) are currently navigating. Rather than prescribing a singular political viewpoint or response, our discussion aims to explore how individuals and communities sustain one another through periods of social strain, cultural division, and personal vulnerability. We see this as an opportunity for reflection, grounding, and connection—encouraging attendees to consider the role they can play in fostering safety, belonging, and care within their own communities and networks as well as expanding Center on Halsted’s demographic and geographic reach.

This event is in partnership with Queer Connections: Men of Color & Allies.

First 30 registrations will come with a single drink ticket. Young adults below the age of 21 will be wrist banded.
