Black Femme Horror: a Film Fest benefiting Black Women Directors

August 30 @ 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Black Femme Horror at The Final Girl Bar

Black Women Directors presents File Under: Horror, a one-night-only fundraising event celebrating Black women and nonbinary filmmakers working in the horror genre. Join us at The Final Girl Bar in Kenosha, WI for an evening of short films, community, and creativity.

This event supports Black Women Directors, an award-winning digital library dedicated to increasing the visibility of Black women and nonbinary filmmakers through archival research, online curation, and community-centered programming. Funds raised will go toward filmmaker honoraria, screening fees, community events, film programming, and ongoing archival maintenance.

The File Under: Horror screening lineup includes:

  • The Wounded and the Watcher — dir. Nace DeSanders
  • Hag — dir. Jay Najeeah
  • The Garden of Edette — dir. Guinevere Fey Thomas
  • Hair Wolf — dir. Mariama Diallo

Arrive early to browse a curated vendor market featuring local makers and artists!
