Taylor Tomlinson: Actually, Nevermind Live in Conversation in Chicago

“One of the most acclaimed, in-demand superstars of comedy” (New York Times) joins us for an intimate conversation about growing up, changing your mind, and figuring things out as you go.
One of the most celebrated stand-ups working today, Taylor Tomlinson has headlined four Netflix specials, including Have It All, which debuted at number one. She has been named as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30, Time’s 100 Next and The Hollywood Reporter’s 100 Most Powerful Women in Hollywood. In 2023, her comedy tour was the seventh highest-grossing of the year, making her the only woman to make the top ten.
In this special In Conversation event, she will take us on a tour of her brain and share her shifting opinions about everything from love and relationships, mental health and therapy, religion and sex, food and body image, being the eldest daughter and the only woman in late-night TV, to ghosts, morning people, and more.
With the same unflinching honesty that fuels her beloved stand-up specials, she will capture the dizzying contradictions of adulthood in the modern world: wanting independence while craving reassurance, chasing self-improvement while resisting change, and finally learning that certainty can be overrated. “True wisdom,” says Taylor, “is accepting how little you know, and real maturity is becoming as flexible as possible. (Emotionally, not physically. Real maturity also means needing to stretch way more).”
