Super Sapphic V

The Midwest’s largest party for sapphics, dykes, lesbians and their friends returns with a BANG the Friday of Pride Weekend with another all-building Metro/smartbar takeover.

Once upon a time, Chicago lesbian circuit parties were attended by the thousands. Now that we’ve revived that culture with Super Sapphic, we’ve built a lineup that crosses generations, communities and creative styles because legacy builds on legacy. This year, Old Gold will open the evening with Auntie Hours featuring all-vinyl sets by the Good Girls and performances by Darling Shear.

It’s important to us that the women who were actually on the dance floor of the legendary events of the 90s and 2000s that paved the way for Super Sapphic have a place on ours. If you’re over 30 (but especially if you’re over 40!), we want to see you shake your thang! We’re getting the party started at 9pm but don’t underestimate how late you might find yourself twirling away…
