We are back to basics with our sixth installment of Life Is A Queer Cabaret! Let’s take a night to celebrate and dissect the characters and songs that aren’t usually seen through a queer lens.
As performers, our identities hold meaning. And our own lived experiences can change the context and the narrative itself for any role we might play. Without changing the lyrics (or even the pronouns!) within a musical theatre song, how do our experiences and identities as queer people reinvent the context of even the most classic golden age musicals? This project is all about gender-fuckery, breaking the binary, and queering the musical theatre canon.
