“Mr. Parker” tells the story of Terry Parker, a middle-aged man grappling with grief and a shifting identity after the loss of his husband. As he navigates life as a single man, shedding the “power couple” persona he once shared, Terry begins a relationship with a younger man, further complicating his journey of self-discovery. The play explores his emotional struggle to define himself anew, as captured in his own words: “I was defined by the man I married, and now, suddenly, for the first time, I’m just … ‘Mr. Parker.’ And I don’t know how to do that.” The Open Space Arts production stars Andrew Kain Miller as Terry, Riley Capp as his love interest Justin, and Mary Ann Bowman as his sister-in-law Cassandra.
