You’re Invited To The Cookout: A Juneteenth Celebration of Black Comedians is a vibrant comedy variety show produced by two rising Black women comedians, Karissa Cuffy and Wongel Abamegal in partnership with UrbanTheater Company.

This joyful celebration shines a spotlight on some of the most exciting Black comedic talent in Chicago—both fresh faces and established favorites. From stand-up and improv to musical comedy and a whole lot of cuttin’ up, this show serves up a full plate of laughter, culture, and community.
