Born right here on Chicago’s South Side, Miss Major spent her life fighting for dignity, visibility, and justice for Black trans women and all those living at the margins. Her impact is global, but her roots are ours.
This evening of remembrance will be filled with storytelling, reflection, and joy — because Miss Major taught us that celebration is resistance. Together, we’ll uplift her spirit and carry her legacy forward in love and solidarity.
