Join us for Burning Bowl 2026: Waves of Resistance & Resilience, on Sunday, March 22, from 1-4pm at UIC Student Center West, 828 S Wolcott Avenue, Ste 242, Chicago, IL.

Lots has happened since last year’s Burning Bowl Ceremony, and we have much to celebrate and look forward to at this year’s gathering. Bring your intentions, open minds and hearts, dancing shoes, and appetite. We look forward to another joyful gathering with our beloved community. And please invite others!

Burning Bowl is a long-honored Affinity tradition of centering reflection and renewal that helps us clarify our intentions, release old habits that get in our way, and set goals for our next chapter. We recognize outstanding individuals for their service within the Black LGBTQ Community with the Barbara “Robbie” Smith Award of Excellence, and community members share their aspirations and ideas for future Affinity programs and initiatives.
