Chicago Social Butterflies will showcase a diverse array of Chicago's vibrant LGBTQ+ scene. To ensure our calendar highlights the most impactful and significant activities within our community, we prioritize submissions for large-scale and special events. These events should have broad appeal, substantial community interest, or unique significance.
By focusing on these events, we aim to provide a curated and valuable resource for all community members. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating these major occasions together.
Chicago Social Butterflies retains the discretion to reject any submission at any time.
1. Event centers LGBTQ+ people first. The space is created with individuals from the community in mind, as opposed to just being inclusive to LGBTQ+ people.
2. Events are special or major to the organization. Your fundraiser or annual party vs. $5 Tuesdays. Unique events will be an exception.
3. Your event is submitted at least a month in advance. We can try listing your event if it's submitted with late notice, but we ask for events to be submitted with ample time to guarantee its inclusion. Yes, we love events that are 6 months away!
