DESCRIPTION:Join Queer Connections: Men of Color + Allies for the launch of our Belonging and Wellness Series at Center on Halsted Cottage Grove \nA free community gathering designed for queer men of color and allies to connect\, unwind\, and build real relationships in an affirming space. \nHere’s what to expect: \n4:00 PM — Arrival & Food: Doors open\, pizza and drinks out\, music playing. No pressure to jump into anything — just settle in. \n4:30 PM — Welcome: A quick welcome and community agreement so everyone knows this is a space built on respect and authenticity. \n4:35 PM — Guided Grounding Moment: A short\, easy breathing/grounding exercise led by a wellness facilitator. No experience needed. \n4:50 PM — Light Connection Activity: Easy conversation starters at each table — no forced icebreakers\, just simple prompts to get people talking. \n5:20 PM — Open Mingling: Structure falls away. Eat\, talk\, connect at your own pace. \n5:50 PM — Closing Circle: We close together with a simple one-word check-out before wrapping up. \nWhether you’re new to the community or looking for your people\, this space is for you. Come as you are — you don’t need to know anyone\, and there’s no pressure to be “on” the whole time. \nSpots are limited — RSVP to save your seat.
