You can join them for a short\, simple\, stay-at-home fundraiser April 19 at 6:00 pm CDT to benefit the chorus as they prepare for an exciting large-scale vocal arts conference and performance this summer. \nWhat happens in the Couch-a-Thon?\nIt’s a livestream performance with participation! You can decide how active or reclusive you want to be. On Zoom\, members of the chorus will perform some tunes\, play games\, and engage in hijinks (who’s got the cutest pet? most imaginative beverage?). You can buy a ticket here to take part in the Zoomcast and compete for fan prizes. Or\, you can choose to watch the 1-hour fundraiser livestream on YouTube or Facebook for free (and optionally chip in a few bucks). \nWhat’s the context?\nArtemis is playing host this July to the 2026 Sister Singers Network Choral Festival. This every-four-years event brings together feminist choruses from across the US and beyond for performances\, workshops\, and joyous collaboration. The 3-day festival will feature individual performances by more than 20 choruses\, culminating in two 400-voice mass choruses on stage. \nArtemis is offsetting the costs for this exciting undertaking through registration fees\, grants\, sponsorships\, donations\, and a few fundraising events. The Choral Couch-a-Thon is one of these fundraising events\, and you are invited to take part! \nArtemis Singers is a 501(c)3 Not for Profit organization.

DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, October 16 at The Mart\nArt for Life Chicago is a juried art auction and social art event of the season\, showcasing the talents of emerging artists alongside those of established creators. \nThis event offers a chance to bring together emerging artists with established artists\, art buyers\, and art collectors. Each year\, we select a jury panel of highly accomplished interior designers and gallery owners who bring years of industry expertise and a genuine commitment to supporting the art world. Each artist is scored\, and the top artists are invited to participate in the year’s Art for Life Chicago art auction. \nArtists who choose to donate their pieces will have their work displayed and auctioned both virtually and in person during an enjoyable evening filled with cocktails\, food\, networking\, and excitement. \nArt for Life Chicago not only creates meaningful opportunities for artists\, but with all proceeds from AFLC benefiting our Excellence in Care Grants Program\, it also helps us raise essential unrestricted funds for local organizations providing care for those living with and/or impacted by HIV/AIDS. \nAdditionally\, the top three artists are invited to DIFFA Chicago’s Three for Life event the following autumn. This opportunity includes a one-night-only exhibition for these three rising artists to showcase their artwork at a downtown Chicago gallery. This intimate art show is promoted not only to DIFFA’s cultivated list of art and event lovers but also shared with local art professional establishments to ensure widespread awareness and promotion for the artists and the event.

This year’s theme\, Legacy of Love: Decades of Defiance\, will take audiences through five decades of queer resilience\, joy\, and advocacy\, all while raising funds to support LGBTQ+ care and health equity. \nWe’re honored to dedicate this year’s show to the legendary Chilli Pepper. She was a trailblazer who lit up stages and broke barriers by speaking out boldly about HIV/AIDS when few dared. We proudly carry forward her legacy by ensuring everyone can access affirming care without fear of discrimination.
